Feedback on the first ISblue event dedicated to training

Nearly 80 people gathered on January 21st, 2020, to attend this day of exchange and upgrading of the pedagogical transformation within ISblue. All ISblue partner institutions were present!

For this first edition, ISblue welcomed Denis Bédard, Full Professor at the Faculty of Education of the Université de Sherbrooke and Director of theCentre d’études et de développement pour l’innovation technopédagogique (CEDIT)” for a conference on “Transforming pedagogy to improve learning and teaching: innovating? ».  This talk allowed us to understand the key issues in a change project related to training and to reflect upon the notion of ‘innovation’.

The afternoon was devoted to thematic workshops on “Teaching the sea” from different angles such as digital, multidisciplinary, games, or the teachers change in posture and the field.

Based on their experience feedbacks (financed by ISblue), the participants were able to exchange on the difficulties encountered, the projects that are sustainable or new experiments to set up within the training courses.

To conclude, very positive participants assessment of this day of meetings and exchange on pedagogical issues. What’s next? A quarterly reflection workshop will be organized in order to build this pedagogical transformation in marine science and technology training. Notice to pedagogy enthusiasts: participation in the workshops are opened!
