Marine Biology

Overview

Objectives

The objective of this training is to prepare young scientists for doctoral studies, with a specialisation in marine biological sciences and to make the link with environmental issues related to the evolution of the oceans. The training also leads to research jobs related to the professional fields of marine biology to which are added new professional opportunities within the organisations in charge of the upstream fisheries and aquaculture sector.

Programme

The diploma responds to a strong demand for training of excellence through fundamental and applied research in the fields of the study of marine ecosystems (training program 1), in the field of the biology of marine organisms (training program 2), and in the field of ecosystem-based management of fisheries resources and aquatic environments (training program 3 / in Rennes, France)

International Master of Science in Marine Biological Ressources (IMBRSea)

The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), is a joint Master program organised by ten major European universities in the field of marine sciences. IMBRSea covers a wide range of topics related to the sustainable use of living marine resources. With an emphasis on marine biological and ecological processes, the program links the biology of marine organisms, environmental studies, and marine policy and planning topics.
